Play’n GO Celebrates 30 Years of Hugo by Releasing a New Game — Hugo Legacy

Two years after releasing its last Hugo video slot, Play’n GO has launched a new game dedicated to this three-toed troll — Hugo Legacy. This year marks Hugo's 30th birthday, and the latest game is the perfect way to celebrate it.
The game features Hugo the Troll standing next to a 7x7 grid on a sunny meadow in front of the Troll forest. It has an RTP of 96.20% and features a cluster pay mechanic. As for symbols, Hugo Legacy features mining equipment and Hugo’s famous friends, paying more and adding dynamics to the game. There is also a wild, which appears as a big, sparkly diamond. There are two features that keep the gameplay interesting at all times — the telephone meter and free spins, and each has a different set of modifiers. Each winning symbol on the grid will count as a single charge on the telephone meter. Collecting 15 will trigger one of the random character modifiers with different abilities — Hugo, Scylla, Fernando, Don Croco, and Jean-Paul.
Collecting 35 charges will trigger a free spin, and if Lady Luck looks your way and you score 40, 45, or even 50 charges, you can expect a much stronger free spin that awards a different number of character modifiers and wilds. Play’n GO has also implemented a gamble feature in the free spins mode (it may be unavailable in certain jurisdictions), offering players a chance to keep their current wins or gamble and reach higher levels. George Olekszy, head of game retention at Play'n GO, is confident the fans will love this release for bringing back well-known characters from previously released Play’n GO video slots inspired by this little troll. And considering it’s Hugo the Troll’s 30th birthday, the company feels honoured to launch this dynamic title as a homage to this multi-media franchise. Olekszy believes the telephone meter and character-specific abilities will also appeal to players. Hugo Legacy is the sixth game in Play'n GO's Hugo the Troll series. The company released Hugo in 2016, Hugo 2 in 2017, Hugo Goal in 2018, Hugo’s Adventure in 2019, and Hugo Carts in 2021. The next video slot coming at the beginning of September falls under the “Book of” genre — Scales of Dead.
